SICC organises the Annual Felicitation Ceremony

A day at SICC was dedicated to acknowledge the achievements of SICCians in different competitions conducted during the academic session 2018-19 and encourage them to soar greater heights of success. The competitions were organised in various spheres of Cultural, Academic and Sports with the sole objective to nurture talent, develop skills and build leaders of exemplary fortitude.

The first edition of the SICC Felicitation Ceremony was organised on Friday, March 8, 2019 in the Auditorium. It was graced by Chairman Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo and Director SICC, Dr. P.C.Jain. During the event Certificates were given to the Heads and Advisors of various Student Committees from the graduating batch of 2019 for their sincerity and meticulous execution of duties.

Dr.Jain enlightened the gathering with his words of encouragement and wisdom. He urged the students to raise their standards and set greater benchmark by inculcating innovative and creative ideas for greater good. His inspiring words invigorated the participates to carve themselves as leaders of future. He further encouraged the students to indulge in competitive participation which would help them discover their true mettle and added that, “Either a winner or a Learner, nobody is a Loser. True Failure is one who never dares to participate”.

Dr. Sahoo shared that harnessing self-esteem and emotional intellect is the most sublime and transcendent form of respecting nature’s divinity. He quoted an anecdote of Swami Vivekanada to bring out the importance of eternal happiness which can be established through human connectivity and establishment of relationship.
In his address he brought forward the importance of education which is the foundation stone to discover one’s true potential.

The felicitation of the winners was a salutation to the zealous spirit of the participants and recognised them as ardent learners. The student-led event was diligently conducted by the SICC Academic Committee.
