SICC Business Conclave 2019, Fourth Edition

SAI International College of Commerce (SICC) Business Conclave 2019 edition 4, started off on a great note and created a history again with the magnanimous participation of more than 1200students from different schools and colleges from across Odisha on September 10 and 11 2019 at the SICC premise.

Day 1 of Business Conclave 2019, September 10, 2019

The Conclave was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister Higher Education, Agriculture Fisheries & Animal Resource Development, Dr. Arun Kumar Sahoo as the Chief Guest, in the presence of  Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, Advisor, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan and Founder, SAI International Education Group, Dr. P.C.Jain, Director, SICC and former Principal, Shri Ram College of Commerce, New Delhi and Shri P.C.Choubey, Executive Director, SERPL, Indian Oil.

The festivities started with an overwhelming and a soulful rendition of SICC choir and offering of flower to Sai Baba. As a token of respect and love the chief guest Hon’ble Minister, Dr. Arun Kumar Sahoo was presented with a plant sapling on the note of manifesting greenery.

Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest, Hon’ble Minister, Dr. Arun Kumar Sahoo congratulated Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, who has been instrumental in shaping the education scenario of higher education of the state. He also congratulated the faculty and students of SICC for becoming the 5th Best College among India’s Top 10 private higher education institutions for Extraordinary Leadership by the EducationWorld India Private Higher Education Grand Jury Awards 2019-20. He said,” It is indeed a laudable achievement to get the award in such a short span of time”. On this account he also invited Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo for discussing over developing a framework for commerce education in the universities of the state.

Guest of honour Shri P.C.Choubey, Executive Director, SERPL, Indian Oil congratulated the 5th Best College among India’s Top 10 private higher education institutions. Shri. Choubey welcomed the student with open arms at the Paradip Refineries for their Summer Internship Programs. He appealed to the students to think creatively and widen their horizon and think out of the box, leaving no stone unturned for being successful in life.

“Learning is not the product of teaching. Learning is the product of the activity of learners”, said Dr. P.C.Jain, Director, SICC while addressing the students. He also illustrated youth as the beacon of light towards globalization and they should work with open and creative minds to attain success in life.

Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo while presenting the achievements of SICC since its inception said that the college has been on a path to success with each batch performing better than the last both academically as well as non-academically. He accentuated that it is his dream to make SICC a top college of India, so that children do not need to go outside for higher education.

The day one ended with an in-house cultural evening prepared by the students of SICC. The performances were just too perfect to believe.

The Day Two of the Business Conclave, September 11, 2019

The two days of the power packed event of SICC Business Conclave 2019 came to an end on September 11, 2019, with the high spirits and the enthusiastic 1200 youth from various schools and colleges. The Business Conclave 2019 was flagged off by the Chief Guest Shri Sridhar Patra, Director Finance, NALCO, the Guest of Honour Shri Mahendra Gupta, Managing Director, Gupta Power and Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, Founder SAI International Education Group. The festival of Business and Management culminated with a magnificent closing ceremony at the SICC premise.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Sahoo accentuated the very objective of the Conclave – Ideate, Innovate and Implement and said that Commerce education can bring about a change in the fate of economy of a nation as Commerce and Business are the lifelines of a country and students are the future shapers.

Guest of Honour Shri Mahendra Gupta congratulated the students at the conclave and said having 1200 students for a business conclave is definitely the pace of learning. Sharing his experience he said that perfection should come from within as it does not matter whether anybody is watching or not.

While sharing the words of wisdom with the students Chief Guest Shri Sridhar Patra emphasized that education is the passport to success. He was highly impressed by the infrastructure of the college and said “with such an infrastructure and curriculum, the college is sure to become the best college of India soon”. He expressed his delight over the students who work as summer interns at NALCO during the summer break as very hardworking and diligent.

This festival managed to generate a genesis of collaborations and co-operations from schools and colleges and business partners from across, resulting in a everlasting bond.

The two day event held numerous competitions and winners of the competitions of Open Events, Creative Competition, Quizzimodo, Start-Up Disc, Ideathod and Drama-O-Cratic were also felicitated by the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour.  They evening ended with the a DJ night DJ Paroma from Mumbai gave an
