SICC Olympic 2020 Inaugurated

A layer of dense fog witnessed the opening of the SICC Olympic 2020 in the SICC premise on January 17, 2020. Chief Guest Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo Founder & Mentor SAI International Education Group and Advisor OAVS, inaugurated the event and declared it open by hoisting the SICC Olympics Flag. He witnessed the March Past by the students of first, second and the third year of both B. Com and BBA. The event commenced in the Sports field of the SICC Campus on a vibrant and euphoric note.  The March Past was followed by the spectacular torch rally where the champions of 2019 Shubham Mahapatra and Pritisha Mahapatra led the flame of sportsmanship. Finally, the Oath taking ceremony was conducted followed by various track and field events.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Sahoo enlisted the benefits of sports and spirit of sportsmanship and how sports teaches resilience in people. He said that youth energy is integral for holistic development and sports is one thing that energizes the body, mind and soul.  With sports comes self discipline, spirit of oneness, strength and stamina.
