SICCians observe the “Joy of Giving Week” or Daan Utsav

October 30, 2019: The SICC Rotaract Club observed the Daan Utsav 2019 by visiting Madhumayee Adarsha Shiksha Niketan, Bhubaneswar on October 30, 2019. It is home to around 50 children in the age group of 6 years to 22 years whose parents are mostly imprisoned or dead.

They were surprisingly engrossed in the interaction and activity session involving art, craft and music. They were more than glad to receive notebooks, stationery items and goodies as a token of love from the SICCians.

Compassion is the ultimate and most meaningful embodiment of emotional maturity. It is through compassion that a person achieves the highest peak and deepest reach in his or her search for self-fulfilment. SICC provides the students with opportunities and experiences that make them grow into compassionate and empathetic human beings. We believe in letting them learn for themselves that the love for a fellow human being is the greatest of all.
